Job Summary
PGT is seeking a Construction Technician with a strong focus on monitoring and surveying to support infrastructure and construction projects. The successful candidate will assist in field measurements, installation and maintenance of monitoring instruments, and survey data collection to ensure project accuracy and safety.
This role involves working closely with engineers, project managers, and survey teams to monitor structural movement, collect site data, and support quality control during construction activities.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct construction monitoring and surveying activities on project sites.

Install, maintain, and read monitoring instruments

Perform survey measurements using equipment such

Record, process, and organize field monitoring data.

Assist in preparing survey reports and monitoring documentation.

Ensure measurements meet project accuracy and safety requirements.

Coordinate with engineers and project teams regarding monitoring results.

Maintain survey and monitoring equipment in good working condition.

Follow site safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications
-
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Geomatics, Surveying, or related field.

1–3 years of experience in construction surveying or monitoring (preferred).

Familiarity with survey instruments and monitoring equipment.

Ability to work outdoors on construction sites.

Basic understanding of survey software and data processing tools.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Skills
-
Experience with structural or geotechnical monitoring systems.

Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or survey processing software.

Experience working on infrastructure, tunneling, or large construction projects.
Working Conditions

Field-based role with some office reporting tasks.

Work may involve travel to project sites and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
